Landlords

How do I list a rental property?

Create an account (or sign in), then use New listing from your landlord tools. You'll enter property details, rent, photos, and availability. New listings may stay pending until an administrator approves them for the public catalogue — that helps keep the marketplace trustworthy.

How do I add or change photos?

Upload images from the listing editor. Use clear, well-lit photos of the actual unit. Common formats such as JPEG and PNG usually work best. If an upload fails, try a smaller file size or a different browser, then contact us with your listing title and a short description of the error.

Why isn’t my listing visible in search yet?

It may still be pending review, or your filters may not match what you entered (city, province, price, bedrooms). Try browsing without tight filters or opening the map view and zooming to your area. If it should already be live, reach out via Contact.

How do I edit my listing after it’s published?

Open My listings and choose the listing you want to update. Keep rent, availability, and photos current so tenants see accurate information.

My unit is rented — how do I take it down?

Deactivate or unpublish the listing from your landlord listing tools so tenants are not directed to a home that is no longer available. If you need help restoring a listing later, contact support through Contact.

How do inquiries, tours, and applications work?

Tenants can send inquiries and tour requests from a listing page when they are signed in. Rental applications and booking flows depend on how your listing and the tenant use the platform. You'll see relevant items in your landlord dashboard areas for inquiries, tours, applications, and bookings.

How do I search for a rental?

Start from Browse listings. Enter city and province, set optional filters (price, bedrooms, type), then choose Grid or Map. You can refine filters anytime using the panel above the results.

How does map search work?

Map view shows pins for listings that match your criteria. Select a pin or a card to open details. Pan and zoom to explore neighbourhoods; adjust filters to narrow results.

Can I save a search so I don’t re-enter it every visit?

Yes. When you're signed in, use Save search on the browse page to store your criteria. Manage saved searches under Saved searches. You can also allow email-style alerts when your operator enables them — adjust preferences from your account privacy and notification settings where available.

What are favourites?

Signed-in tenants can favourite listings and revisit them on the Favorites page.

How do I contact a landlord about a listing?

Open the listing and use the inquiry section (you'll need to be signed in where the feature is enabled). For tours or formal applications, use the sections provided on the listing page. Never send money or sensitive documents to someone you have not verified outside the platform.

Is there an application profile?

Tenants can complete an application profile to reuse details when applying, where landlords accept applications through EazyRental.

Rental scams and safety

Does EazyRental handle rent money or leases for me?

No. EazyRental is a marketplace and software platform. We are not a party to your lease and we do not hold rent or security deposits between tenants and landlords. Always verify identities, view properties in person when possible, and use documentation your jurisdiction accepts.

How can I protect myself from rental fraud?
  • Do not send money before you are confident the listing and landlord are legitimate.
  • Be cautious if rent is far below market, the landlord refuses a showing, or you are pressured to wire funds or buy gift cards.
  • Meet at the property when you can, and keep copies of written agreements.
  • Search the address and landlord name independently for duplicate or stolen ads.
I think a listing is fraudulent — what should I do?

Use Report listing on the property page to flag concerns. Our team can review reports and take action on the platform side. For criminal activity, contact local police or consumer protection agencies. See Useful links for Canadian resources.
